Who am I and why am I here?
A unique perspective is what I will bring to the Madison county board. As the son of a teacher and a farmer I grew up learning as much, if not more, outside of school about being a hard-working, patriotic American citizen I’m proud to say that I am a husband and father (two sons: one in high school and one is U.S. Marine). I have owned several businesses in the past and still own one currently. I trust, believe and have faith in the Christian God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and in His son Jesus.

Having been an honorably discharged U.S. Air Force, Staff Sergeant, I passionately
support and defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I support the reduction of government and taxes; while re-affirming the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Our government is an extension of the will of the people, a necessary evil that must be closely watched and kept in check. I support and encourage citizen involvement and thorough government transparency as both are required for either to be of any benefit.
I believe racism and slavery exists, but not how it’s commonly portrayed in traditional media today, nor do I believe this nation was founded on slavery or any other oppressive system. These horrible sins are not unique to America in the past or the present, and they have plagued mankind long before Christopher Columbus stepped foot onto a boat. Today slavery is now called human trafficking and affects every race, and is perpetrated by every race. I see racism as universally condemned at every social and governmental level. But, that doesn’t prevent it from existing in isolated pockets. Most frequently, I see the “Racist” label applied to someone as a diversion or manipulation tactic, with no evidence to support the claim.
To address the burden of government and regulation, in the spirit of President Trump’s administration, I believe that for every new regulation proposed, it should include two existing regulations to be eliminated.
It’s going to take more that one good candidate to have any effect on the issues that we face. I intend to promote joint operations with other counties and municipalities to reduce cost and improve service and to encourage the development of Nuclear power options within the county.
We will see the citizens of Madison county thrive abundantly when we repeal bad laws, reduce burdens for businesses and individuals, while bringing back opportunities and liberty, and enforcing good laws.
